Farmers in the western Al-Bayarat region in the Badia of Palmyra have resumed cultivating their lands as part of the implementation of the winter agricultural plan to cultivate wheat and barley, after all the mines planted by the terrorists before their withdrawal from the area were removed by the heroes of the Syrian Arab Army.
The director of the Tadmur Agricultural Bank branch in Tadmur Ihsan Al-Sabaa stated in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the bank worked in coordination with the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in order to deliver the farmers in the Palmyra area an amount of about 532 tons of durum wheat seeds, as farmers began receiving them through the Tadmur Farmer Association, noting that it was also provided. Fertilizers to be delivered to farmers for use on licensed lands.
A number of farmers expressed their happiness at their return and the practice of their agricultural work in the region, calling for the provision of fuel in sufficient quantities to implement the agricultural plan.
