Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit today (Sunday) referred to the indictment filed against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and said that he did not rule out the possibility of reaching a plea deal.

"I am a professional. If Netanyahu's defense attorneys want to come and talk, as in any other case, my door is open. For me, this case will be conducted from beginning to end, there is a clear interest in it," the spokesman said at a Channel 7 meeting on Judaism, morality and leadership. "My door is open for a plea deal."
Mandelblit went on to say of Netanyahu, saying he "hurts the decision to indict the prime minister, a leader who has many rights and is also admired by many publics. The attorney general's remarks come against the background of various clashes that have taken place between him and Netanyahu recently.
