Since the suicide of school principal Christine Renon a year ago in Pantin (Seine-Saint-Denis), the Ministry of Education has announced various measures aimed at lightening the workload of principals, which are severely strained. by the coronavirus crisis.
After a consultation with the unions, he indicated his intention to devote 600 additional full-rate jobs for the start of the 2021 school year, in order to strengthen the discharge of school directors, which allows them not to have to hold a class for a period of time. given.
450 euros bonus
In detail, principals of schools of 1 to 3 classes will be able to benefit from two additional days of discharge per year, ie 6 days for principals of schools in 1 class and 12 days for principals of 2 and 3 classes.
The directors of elementary schools of 9 classes will be relieved, like their counterparts in nursery schools, of 50% of their weekly school hours against a third of the current discharge time.
Finally, the directors of elementary schools with 13 classes will be relieved of three quarters of their weekly class hours instead of half at present.
In addition, a special bonus of 450 euros was paid to them in November "to recognize their attributions and the particular constraints which weighed on them during this new school year".
This will be perpetuated in 2021.
