The General Peasants' Union affirmed that the peasants will keep the forearms that build the nation, contribute to uplifting its structure and cultivate goodness and development to keep the country dear, impregnable, steadfast and stable.
In a statement SANA received a copy of on the occasion of the fifty-sixth anniversary of the Peasants' Day, the Union made it clear that the Eid this year comes and marks victory over penitential terrorism and its supporters are taking root in all the squares of the nation as a result of the cohesion of the people, the army and the commander, and the heroics and sacrifices of the Syrian Arab Army, pointing out that the steadfastness of the peasants and their unlimited giving, especially during years The war, in spite of all that they were subjected to, expresses their confidence in their peasant organization and their absolute belief in the march of steadfastness and victory.
The Union pointed out that the Peasants' Day has great meanings and connotations, the most important of which is that it came as a result of a long and arduous struggle against the regimes of oppression and feudalism, until the peasant gained all his rights and agriculture flourished and developed to the point of achieving food security for Syria and providing a surplus of production to support its economy.
The Union stressed the importance of moving towards wheat cultivation and investing every inch of land so that this year will be the year of wheat with distinction, and to achieve participatory work to secure production requirements, promote the agricultural sector, pay attention to family crops and small and medium enterprises, and work to find productive cooperatives that will be the nucleus of cooperative work in the governorates and concern for rural women and relying on them .
The Union renewed the covenant of loyalty to the homeland and for the peasants to be the citadel upon which conspiracies crumble and the arms that build the homeland and cultivate good so that the Syrian flag continues to fly in its sky.
