The study addresses the number of road accidents per thousand people within the city, taking into account the number of people who enter it daily for work purposes.

In the large cities with 100,000 residents or more, it appears that there is a personal risk of involvement in an accident with casualties, in the urban area of ​​Ashkelon and Bat Yam (separately) there were 10 accidents, followed by Beer Sheva with eight accidents.

The other most dangerous cities, in descending order, are Holon, Ashdod, Rishon Lezion, Haifa, Netanya, Tel Aviv, Petah Tikva, Rehovot, Jerusalem, Kfar Saba, Ramat Gan, Bnei Brak and Beit Shemesh.

Regarding the number of road accidents per 1,000 people of the city residents who are injured inside or outside their city of residence regardless of the location of the accident, Bat Yam is at the top with 13 accidents, Ashkelon with 12, Holon 11, Rishon Lezion with 10 and the other cities mentioned above in descending order. Barak and Beit Shemesh last - with four accidents in each.

The other cities in descending order to the safest are Modi'in Illit, Beitar Illit and Elad with two accidents each.

The latest figure in the study refers to the number of road accidents per 1,000 people of the city's residents, who are injured inside or outside their city of residence in small-medium cities.

Nof Hagalil and Acre top the list with 14 accidents, Ramla with 13, Lod and Yavne with 12 accidents each.

The safest are Beitar Illit and Modiin Illit with two accidents each.

The director general of the RALB, Brigadier General (Res.) Racheli Tevet-Wiesel, said that "this is a flag raising before the authorities to encourage the investment of efforts and resources to reduce the damage to road accidents by residents of the local authority and its territory.

The RALBD has set a national target for road accidents: a 50% reduction in road accidents by 2030 as part of a national plan that is currently being formulated in cooperation with the Ministry of Transportation and other ministries.
