A lawsuit against alleged electoral fraud has been dismissed in the US Supreme Court.
But that's not the only reason why Donald Trump has the court in mind.
Donald Trump warns: The Democrats could
manipulate
the
Supreme Court
in their favor.
The current president describes himself as perhaps the only one who can still prevent this.
Shortly thereafter, the highest federal court ruled against a lawsuit leading to Trump's election defeat.
Washington DC - Donald Trump has been fighting the inevitable for weeks.
One of his last hopes was now the Supreme Court, the
highest federal court in the United States
.
Justice would be done to the incumbent US president, and thus also to the citizens of the USA.
In
any case
,
Donald Trump
displayed
this seemingly unshakable belief
on Twitter until reality caught up with him on Friday evening.
Donald Trump and the Supreme Court: "Perhaps the most important case in history"
"If the Supreme Court shows great wisdom and courage, the
American people will
perhaps win the most important case in history, and our electoral process will be respected again," Trump announced in advance on
.
The Supreme Court had to rule on a lawsuit the
state of Texas
had filed for alleged electoral fraud.
At first glance, Trump's optimism might even seem well founded, as the majority of current
judges were
appointed by the Republicans.
But evidence counts in court - and from the point of view of the Supreme Court there was no evidence for this lawsuit from Texas.
“This is a major and scandalous miscarriage of justice.
The people of the United States have been betrayed and our country embarrassed, "accused Trump on Twitter.
He continues to speak of a "
landslide victory
" that was
stolen
from him.
Donald Trump as the savior of the Supreme Court?
The fact that the
US President is being
slowed down by the Supreme Court of all places brings other statements by the President into the focus of attention.
Because shortly before the decision, Donald Trump had staged quite openly as a possible savior of democracy and justice in the USA.
From his point of view, the
Democrats
are aiming
to fill the Supreme Court with a much larger number of judges in order
to secure
a
case law
in their favor
for the future
.
A scenario that has been discussed in the USA since the 1930s and has come
into common use
as “
Packing the Court
”.
“Now it turns out that the Democrats want to fill the court with 26 judges.
That would be terrible and must be stopped, "announced Trump on Twitter.
There are currently nine judges on the Supreme Court.
Now it turns out that the Democrats want the Pack the Court with 26 Justices.
This would be terrible, and must be stopped.
Even Justice RBG was strongly opposed!

Trump builds threat scenario ahead of Georgia Senate election
It
is not entirely clear
which tactics are behind this
threatening scenario
.
A reference to the runoff election for Senators from Georgia, which Trump refers to, has a real background.
On January 5th, voters will decide on two Senate seats in this state.
If the Democrats win both seats from
Georgia
, they will have a majority in the second house of Congress as well as the House of Representatives.
And the US Senate ultimately decides on the
appointment of new justices to the Supreme Court
.
In Trump's statements, however, the
Georgia election campaign
is less
in
the foreground.
Above all, it is about Trump being the only person who can still prevent manipulation of the Supreme Court in the event of a Republican defeat.
On Twitter, the president said: “If the two Senators from Georgia lose, which would be terrible for the country, the only thing standing between an increase in the court [...] and its preservation is me.
There is no way I will top up the court. ”The clear statement is that only Trump can prevent the Democrats from
bending
the
political
and
legal system
in their favor.
If the two Senators from Georgia should lose, which would be a horrible thing for our Country, I am the only thing that stands between “Packing the Court” (last number heard, 25), and preserving it.
I will not, under any circumstances, Pack the Court!

Electoral defeat is officially not an issue for Donald Trump
An important question remains open: What else does he want to do personally once he
loses his power
on January 20th with the
inauguration
of Joe Biden?
The statements are irritating, because there is no logical answer to them at the moment.
Unless one assumes that Trump can still stay in office.
Since his
electoral defeat
, Trump has been trying to
maintain steadfast
belief in this development
.
The Republican Supreme Court of all things stood in his way.
