Health Minister Yuli Edelstein and Transport Minister Miri Regev decided tonight (Sunday) to add new guidelines to the existing blue sign to Ben Gurion Airport, in order to examine an arrangement that will prevent mass gatherings there, as seen in various documents in recent days.
According to the decision, those who come from a green country will not have to go through an interview.
In addition, sleeves will not be attached to more than four aircraft in parallel, until two of them have arrived from red countries.
The Airports Authority has been instructed to step up enforcement of airlines in the countries of origin so that passengers who have not prepared a health declaration in advance will not board the flights.
In addition, it was decided to set up a team to improve the computer interface on the site in order to save time and also complete the standardization of border crossings in terms of the number of inspectors.
It was further determined that upon the connection of an aircraft to the sleeve, there will be an inspection of the place and that the descent from it will be done in groups of only between 20 and 30 passengers at a time.
Regarding outbound flights, it was decided to open the flight counters four hours before the flight date, with the intention of benefiting from the handling of the boarding process.
It was also stipulated that the airlines will be required to man at least six flight attendants at the check-in stations - and these will be doubled in the departure hall at Ben Gurion Airport.
