The telecoms troublemaker is not what we think.

Free is the most expensive fiber operator on the market, with an average “entry-level” subscription price of 34.53 euros per month, according to the latest Ariase barometer.

Orange comes just behind, at 34.16 euros, followed by SFR at 27.29 euros per month.

Sosh and Red, the low cost brands of Orange and SFR, slip in just after.

Bouygues Telecom is by far the cheapest on the market at 23.99 euros.

In one year, the average price of a fiber subscription jumped 9% to 28.35 euros.

The stopping of the Freebox Crystal marketing alone explains a large part of this increase,

” explains Ariase.

To arrive at these amounts, the price comparator established an average over 24 months, taking into account the activation fees and the offers dedicated to new customers.

In mobile too, prices have increased, gaining 3% in one year to 19.50 euros on average.

Here again, it is Bouygues Telecom which is the most aggressive, with an average cost of the package over twenty-four months, for 10 GB of data, at 14.41 euros.

Sosh is the second cheapest on the market at 15.41 euros per month, followed by Red at 15.42.

Free is also part of the low prices, at 15.91 euros.

On the other hand, it is the hammer blow at Orange (27.91 euros per month) and SFR (27.96 euros per month).

These two operators can justify their prices by the quality of their mobile networks.

Orange has held the pole position for mobile quality of service for ten years and SFR has significantly improved the quality of its in 2020, according to the Telecom Authority.
