The dog owners in Sachsenkam will be asked to pay more from January.

- The municipal council decided in the annual meeting on a new statute for the collection of the dog tax.
The set of rules is based on a model statute of the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior.
The last increase in the dog tax was made in 2012.
In order to avoid larger fee jumps in the future, they should be checked every three years.
Overall, the community of Sachsenkam is in the middle compared to other district communities.
From the turn of the year, the currently 49 Sachsenkamer who own a dog have to pay 60 euros per year for their four-legged friend.
That is 10 euros more than before.
If you have more than one dog, you have to dig deeper into your pocket.
For the second four-legged friend, 150 instead of 100 euros will have to be paid in future, for the third (and each additional) 200 instead of 150 euros.
However, the number of Sachsenkamer affected is manageable: four citizens have two dogs, two Sachsenkamer three dogs.
Attack dogs are currently not registered in the community.
They would have to pay 800 euros - 200 euros more than before.
The increased rate must also be paid if a certificate is presented that the animals do not show any increased aggressiveness.
The statutes were unanimously approved.
Incidentally, the changed sentences are to be adopted in the entire area of the administrative community.
The councilors from Reichersbeuern and Greiling still have to discuss this.
