How to clean a refrigerator with the Flash Magic Eraser

A very brave (or stupid) mother from southwest Sydney, Australia, has revealed disturbing images of her new stainless steel refrigerator after she decided to brush it off with the help of the wonder sponge.

She had no idea that rubbing stainless steel with such a sponge was a mistake - and the results were particularly disturbing.

The woman said she was so embarrassed by the critical mistake she made that instead of trying to fix it - she just rushed to buy a new refrigerator so others would not notice the leak.

Despite the embarrassment, she decided whether to share her mistake on social media to warn innocent people.

In the photos she shared you can see how the wonder sponge almost completely removed the top coating layer of her stainless steel refrigerator.

She said that at first she was happy with "how well" the sponge works, but soon realized her mistake.

"Suddenly I took a step back and wanted to cry," she said in the post when she realized the magnitude of the damage.

Many people tried to comfort her about her cleaning disaster and others just sprinkled salt on her wounds.

One wrote: "Wonder sponges are like fine sandpaper and should be used very carefully."

Another wrote that it is always advisable to first try the swab in the "inconspicuous" area and then continue to rub, precisely because of the fear that it will take off color.

Others thanked the mother for the warning and said they would avoid using the wonder sponge on stainless steel surfaces.

The truth that they did not tell you about the wonder sponge:

What's the wonder of the sponge?

The wonder sponge is so named because it cleans without detergents.

It is extremely strong and removes even the most stubborn stains.

It can be used to clean many surfaces, materials and appliances, including cleaning stoves and refrigerators (not stainless steel), plastic, ceramics, porcelain granite, porcelain, sinks - and more.

It is also better to avoid using it to clean natural wood or something with a metallic color.

It will help you clean all the rooms in your home and office, including the bathroom and kitchen.

It is also very suitable for cleaning after renovations following a possible and quite reasonable accumulation of hard stains.

The special material from which the sponge is made and its texture help it to clean layers of dirt and such stains, including old stains that have accumulated over time and not been removed in time.

What is the material from which it is made ??

The wonder sponge is simply foamy melamine - a type of cheap plastic that was discovered in the last century.

Melamine is an organic chemical that is widely used to make a variety of plastics and resins.

Its main use is in carpentry, for the production of coatings for furniture, doors and partitions (for example, Formica).

Melamine is resistant to exposure to sunlight and UV radiation.

It is also used in the manufacture of kitchen utensils and food, such as plates, cups, ladles, ladles and the like.

Coincidentally, when melamine is foamed and dries, it becomes heat-resistant, flexible and most importantly: really spongy.

Before discovering its cleaning properties and even to this day, melamine sponge is used as a sealant for pipes and acoustic rooms.

What makes melamine such a successful cleaner?

Its small and strong fibers and excellent absorbency allow for more successful abrasion of the surfaces by covering all the small grooves and absorbing the dirt instantly so that we do not rub the dirt back onto the surface.
