Hummus-Sana
The Ukrainian player, Wissam Al-Shaer, excelled in transferring the audience of the Arab Music Festival in Homs to worlds of high art through a diverse combination of Spanish and French “Waltz and Tango” and the music of the oriental songs of Umm Kulthum, Abdel Wahhab and Fairouz.
The evening that was held today at the House of Culture in the city, during which the “poet” performed more than 10 pieces of them individually, including with the participation of well-known players from Kamal Skekker on the oud, the rule of the immortal on the law, Mazen Hamza on the rhythm and weighing the jaja on the guitar.
The poet concluded the concert with a special instrument for Ukrainians by British composer Albert Vossen.
In a statement to SANA's correspondence between artist Wissam Al-Shaer, it is his third concert in the city of Homs, whose audience today showed great interaction and demanded plays that reflect a great musical culture, stressing the need to break the barrier between the theater and the audience to create a state of joy and harmony.
It is noteworthy that Wissam Al-Shaer is the first academic Kurdish player in Syria who holds a license from the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus and a BA in operatic singing and piano from the Faculty of Music Education at Al-Baath University.
