On Sunday, Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Prime Ministers agreed on new corona rules.
There was no big argument at the Corona summit - the federal and state governments showed an unusual unity.

Contact restrictions and Christmas rules:
In principle, there is still an upper limit of
five people from two households
for private meetings
, whereby children up to 14 years are not counted.
For the
Christmas days from December 24th to 26th,
meetings with four people beyond their own household should be possible.
However, this should be limited to the
closest family
circle: spouses, civil partners and partners in a cohabiting relationship as well as straight relatives, siblings, siblings and their respective household members.
In addition, there is an appeal to keep contacts to a minimum in the week before.
New Year's Eve and New Year:
On both days there is a nationwide

From Wednesday until January 10th, children should be “cared for at home whenever possible”.
The
schools are closed

suspended attendance requirement

The regulations should also apply to kindergartens.
