The obviously illegal Christmas party in the Pichlmayr retirement home in Erding is making waves.

Investigate the police and district office.

As things stand, all requirements and corona laws have been violated.

Erding - The participants face a fine of at least 250 euros for disregarding the mask requirement.

The operator could face significantly more far-reaching sanctions.

District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer: "That can lead to the loss of the operating license." There is a criminal offense in the room, in which case the Landshut public prosecutor would take over the investigation.

The home operator is clueless.

As reported, a Christmas party took place on Friday in the retirement and nursing home on Pauline-Nöthig-Straße - and that unhindered by over 150 residents infected with corona in the Erding district alone.

According to information from our newspaper, the celebrations were so boozy that astonished neighbors alerted the police, who found an illustrious group drinking mulled wine.

Police ended boozy booze

Andreas Aichele from the Upper Bavaria North Police Headquarters confirms a corresponding operation.

“There was talk of a permit, but the situation was visibly different to the officials on site.

That's why they ended the celebration and recorded everyone's personal details, ”said Aichele.

The case was handed over to the district office.

There, too, no one knows about a permit.

In an interview with our newspaper, District Administrator Bayerstorfer only reported a request to be allowed to drive a food truck - on December 3 in front of the home in Taufkirchen and on December 11 in Erding.

“In principle, that would have been possible because it would have been a permissible to-go delivery of food.

However, in view of the infection situation and the special need for protection of home residents, we strongly advised against it. ”Bayerstorfer also reports that the company management then agreed to cancel the food truck.

“He didn't come to Taufkirchen either.

It is inexplicable to us why he came to Erding, ”said the district administrator.

No, there was no permit whatsoever

Of course, a Christmas party was never approved.

"These celebrations are being canceled everywhere, and they are taking place here in a particularly sensitive area," says the district administrator - an absurdity for him.

What particularly upsets him and causes bewilderment in the health department: Shortly before, there had been a letter from the authority calling for special caution.

"The rule was that only permanent teams work together, and that they shouldn't meet each other," the district administrator quotes.

District administrator outraged: No awareness of wrongdoing

He learned from the police that “there was not even any awareness of wrongdoing on site”.

One of the answers is said to have been: "We are tested regularly anyway."

The investigation against Pichlmayr is still in its infancy.

“We are now checking who knew what,” announces Bayerstorfer.

Should the company or the home management have been inaugurated, this should have serious consequences.

Bayerstorfer explains that in the worst case scenario, Pichlmayr could lose his operating license.

According to the current status of the investigation, "the distance and hygiene rules were violated massively," reports the district chief.

A further exacerbation is that "those under protection were exposed to great danger here," said Bayerstorfer.

Therefore it will probably not stay with the punishment for disregarding the mask requirement.

The fines could be many times higher - up to 5000 euros.

There is also anger among the relatives of the residents.

“We have to adhere to the strictest guidelines and are rarely allowed to see our relatives.

And they're partying, ”one indignant.

Operator is not aware of any guilt

The Pichlmayr Group operates 20 homes in Upper and Lower Bavaria.

In Taufkirchen, there was a mass outbreak with 34 infected residents and 20 employees at the end of November.

The company can't understand the excitement.

In a statement that is not identified by name, it says: “At no point in time there was a 'Christmas party' for employees and residents.” There was only an outdoor meal - “a canteen relocated outside, so to speak”.

According to Pichlmayr, this “took place in compliance with all hygiene guidelines”.

At the moment one does not know "what exactly we are being accused of".
