During his meeting with the Governor of Hasaka, Major General Ghassan Khalil, the regional director stated that UNICEF will work as an international humanitarian organization in cooperation with partners to communicate with the Turkish side with the aim of introducing electrical maintenance workshops to the Alouk station to assess the electrical need in it and seek to operate the station and at the same time work to increase cooperation in the field of water security Drinking water for the people and distributing it through tankers as a temporary solution.

In the field of education, Shayban showed the importance of providing the right of education for the people of the governorate and the child's right to educational attainment, and that work will be done on rehabilitating some schools to reduce the pressure in the classroom.

For his part, the governor of Hasaka highlighted the importance of the organization’s efforts to support and support government efforts to secure services for all the people of the province and the need to increase cooperation to overcome the difficulties that hinder the work of the educational, health and water sectors, which are a priority at the present time.

The governor stressed the need to work to end the suffering of the people of the province as a result of the crime of cutting water by the Turkish occupier more than 23 days ago and stopping the operation of the Alouk station, which is the only source of water for about a million people in the city of Hasaka and the western countryside of the governorate, calling on the organization to play its international role In pressure to neutralize water sources from exploitation and to increase the support provided in the field of securing drinking water for the people of the city.

He also indicated the need to help support the health and educational sector, especially in light of some hospitals being out of service, and the militia (QSD) controlling most of the governorate's schools and converting part of them to military headquarters.
