The Ocean Park Conservation Fund of Hong Kong received a report yesterday that a young male finless porpoise with a length of 97 cm was stranded on Donglong Island; today, another report was received that an adult finless porpoise with a length of 145 cm was stranded on Silver Line Bay in Sai Kung with obvious injuries on his back.

The Conservation Fund has brought two seriously decomposed finless porpoise carcasses back to the Ocean Park for detailed autopsy and laboratory tests, and urged the public to call the 1823 hotline if suspected cases of whales, dolphins and shark strandings are found, and provide the time, place, and photos of the strandings.
