Dozens of passengers were detained for about eight hours at Dubai airport after failing to settle the issue of entry clearance as required.

At the same time, hundreds of confused passengers are having a hard time understanding the process of arranging entry permits to the UAE and many of them have approached us for help in preparation for their upcoming flight.

About two hundred of them have even started a WhatsApp group where they try to help each other and contact the companies from whom they booked the flight tickets, but so far they have in most cases been left unanswered.

Some of them said in conversations with them that they would rather give up the vacation and get their money back.

Dubai Airport, today

Reut, who waited at the airport in Dubai for long hours, said: "There were babies, children and adults. The airline assured us that the matter would be settled, but it took time and we paid $ 320 for a new visa. We were told that if we arrived with the visa we paid everything would be fine "We already wanted to give up the vacation and return to Israel, we were exhausted."

Meanwhile, dozens of Israelis were not allowed to board the flight to Dubai from Ben Gurion Airport this morning. Some of them returned home.

Dor Baruchim, one of them, said earlier: "All the hustle and bustle is only related to the visa. I already paid on Thursday, as soon as they announced that it would be the process. Until now, my visa has not been approved, and there are dozens like me."

Some of the passengers we spoke to sounded agitated.

One of the passengers begged in tears to help her because some of her family members got visas and some did not, so a situation was created where only some were allowed to enter the Emirates.

In addition, many passengers whose flight is scheduled to depart in the coming days claim that they have not received the coveted visa and that they fear they will not be able to enter Dubai.

The airlines worked throughout the day in coordination with officials in the Emirates in order to resolve the same glitches.

It should be noted that there were also quite a few Israelis who received the entry permits, flew and entered Dubai.

It is important to emphasize that the United Arab Emirates has so far approved every visa application for Israelis, even if sometimes it took a little longer than expected.

About ten flights to Dubai are scheduled to take off tomorrow, with quite a few passengers who are supposed to be on these flights not yet receiving their entry permits.

According to the guidelines, they will not be able to stay on the flight until a visa is obtained.
