Rezé (Loire-Atlantique)
The pedestrian street leads to a poorly lit residential complex from the 1990s. Vincent and Lydwine, in their forties, moved here, to Rezé, eighteen months ago.
Last June, while they were away,
“the house was stripped”.
For several tens of thousands of euros.
“We asked ourselves the question of moving,”
says Vincent, who has since installed an alarm and camera.
During the summer, three terraced houses were broken into.
In this U-shaped cul-de-sac, 30 thefts have been added in recent months, between homes and cars, mostly at night.
Hence the creation of a WhatsApp loop of 43 neighbors, activated at the slightest alert, for an outing or a round.
“I'm afraid that one evening it will end in drama.
Some neighbors have already gone out with baseball bats, I even saw a handgun.
People can't take it anymore, ”
testifies this IT specialist.
