Christmas bonus: for whom?
In total, the Christmas bonus will be paid to more than
2.5 million households
by family allowance funds, the Mutualité sociale agricole or Pôle emploi.
It concerns those who receive one of the following aids: the active solidarity income (RSA), the lump sum for resumption of activity, the specific solidarity allowance (ASS), the specific solidarity training allowance (ASS- F), the equivalent retirement allowance (AER), the public internship remuneration (RPS) or the remuneration for the Pôle emploi training (RFPE).
Note that those who benefited from the exceptional solidarity aid of 150 euros at the end of November, will also receive this Christmas bonus.
“
These are two separate aids
,” explains Pôle emploi.
Christmas bonus: how much?
For people who receive
the lump sum for resumption of activity, ASS or AER
, the amount of aid is fixed, regardless of the number of people in the household.
Or 152.45 euros.
For
RSA beneficiaries
, the amount varies according to the composition of the household.
A single person without children will receive 152.45 euros.
A couple with two children will receive 320.14 euros.
This amount will rise to 442.10 euros for a couple with 4 children.
In all cases, this bonus will be paid automatically, without the beneficiaries having to take any steps. "
The Christmas bonus is a boost for the most fragile households before the end of year holidays.
It reflects the government's commitment to support the purchasing power of households with modest incomes, a fortiori in the context of the health and social crisis induced by the Covid-19 epidemic
”, underlines the ministry.
With the health crisis, many homes have fallen into precariousness, as the associations that come to their aid have observed.
For the RSA alone, the number of beneficiaries has exceeded two million because of the Covid.
Unheard of in 11 years of existence.
France, which had 9.3 million poor people in 2018 according to the latest official figures, should have an additional million because of the crisis, according to associations.
