5 defendants: Fang Zhixiong (33 years old, firefighter), 16 years old male student surnamed Lin, Wang Ruoshi (46 years old, unemployed), Zhao Haojun (26 years old, bank clerk), and Chen Ruiwen (49 years old, firefighter).

The lawyer representing the defendant Fang Zhixiong stated that Fang was prepared to plead guilty to the five charges charged, including: illegal assembly, resisting police officers, possession of objects with intent to destroy or damage other people’s property, possession of prohibited weapons, and unauthorized possession of radio communications Equipment, etc., alleging that he participated in an illegal assembly on Nathan Road and Shantung Street on November 10, 2019, possessing 4 petrol bombs, a stylus, a hammer, a switchblade and a wireless microphone, and resisting Police officers performing duties.

The student surnamed Lin and the fourth defendant Zhao Haojun will also plead guilty. Their case with Fang will be postponed until the 28th of this month in the district court for a defense.

The court revealed that Lin intends to plead guilty to illegal assembling, while Zhao has previously stated that he will plead guilty. He is charged with illegal assembling, possession of objects with intent to destroy or damage other people’s property, possession of the first poison, and violation of the "Face Masking Act" "Such crimes.
