Jura: a cattle trailer carrying 150 calves overturns on the A39

A cattle trailer which was carrying 150 calves overturned on the A39 motorway in the night of Monday to Tuesday, December 15 at Villiers-les-Bois, in the jura, our colleagues from France blue found in the morning.

The operation of lifting the livestock trailer and evacuating the cattle lasted several hours.

According to the provisional report communicated by France Bleu, 58 animals died in the accident.

Some had to be euthanized on the spot when the survivors were transferred to another truck.
