(CNN Spanish) ––
9.9% of the Spanish population has been infected with covid-19 since the start of the pandemic.
This was reported on Tuesday by the director of the Carlos III Health Institute, Raquel Yotti, when presenting the results of the fourth round of the national seroprevalence study carried out by the Ministry of Health from November 16 to 29.
These data, Yotti pointed out, reflect that 1 in 10 Spaniards has contracted the coronavirus so far.
In addition, this figure represents about 4.7 million citizens.

For this fourth round, the health authorities have had the participation of more than 51,000 volunteers, representing 63% of the citizens contacted.
Of course, they clarify that the data is provisional.
Precisely because, they explained, they only reflect the results of the rapid tests performed on the participants.
They have yet to be supplemented with other diagnostic laboratory tests.
In the first three rounds of this study, presented between May and July of this year, it was concluded that only 5% of the population had passed the disease.
