The deputy governor of Kabul and his aide were killed in a bombing in the center of the Afghan capital, Kabul today.

And Xinhua news agency quoted security officials as saying that a bomb which was installed by armed men on the car of Mahboobullah Mohebi, the deputy governor of Kabul, exploded, killing him and his aide and wounding two other people.

No one has claimed responsibility for the explosion so far.

A representative of the Afghan government’s public prosecutor’s office was killed last week in eastern Kabul while on his way to work.
