This December 15 ends the registration period in Obamacare

Enrollment for health coverage under the affordable health law, known as Obamacare, ends Tuesday across much of the United States.

The federal health plan, which has managed to survive repeated rebates by the Donald Trump Administration, is consolidating itself as a survivor of the last four years.

The coronavirus pandemic, which has claimed more than 300,000 lives in the country, is undoubtedly one of the factors that

has driven interest in health insurance

established through the Affordable Care Act passed under the presidency of Barack Obama, specialists indicate.

This Tuesday, December 15, is the deadline to apply for coverage, which begins on January 1, through the portal

SaludDeSalud.gov. 

People can purchase their health insurance through private providers or through the website set up by the government for this purpose.

The latest lawsuit by the Trump administration and states led by conservative governors against the law was met with skepticism last month by justices of the Supreme Court.

Chris Sloan, from the consulting company Avelere Health, assures that those enrolled in this Obamacare period can exceed the current number of enrollments, which is 11.4 million people.

"I think this reflects the need for people who have lost their jobs and need to find some other way to have health insurance," Sloan said.

offers private plans that are subsidized for people who do not have coverage through their jobs.
