The value of sales of the Homs Sugar Company since the beginning of this year until the end of November amounted to six billion and 200 million pounds of various main and secondary materials.
Eng. Abdo Mahmoud, General Manager of the company stated in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that 6144 tons of soft yeast and 957 tons of white medicinal alcohol were produced in addition to the production of 569 tons of refined cotton seed oil and 194 tons of soap, indicating that the production value until November and from all Products amounted to five billion and 700 million liras.
Abdo confirmed the continuation of the cotton seed oil production process, as 75 percent of the production is marketed for the benefit of the Syrian Trade Corporation with the aim of offering the material within the halls and securing the citizens' need from it, pointing out that the medical alcohol laboratory in the company has returned to work again with a production capacity of 11 tons per day after stopping for a month Due to the loss of the raw material in manufacturing, which is melas and its replacement with raw red sugar, about 1000 tons of which have been secured to restart the plant and start production with packages of various sizes and to be marketed to the public and private sectors, health institutions and the Foreign Trade Corporation.
