680 deaths and 17,572 new cases of corona in Italy

Italy recorded 680 new deaths from the Coronavirus today, down from 846 yesterday, bringing the total to 66,537 cases, which is the highest death toll from the disease in Europe and the fifth highest in the world.

In its latest data, the Italian Ministry of Health stated that 17,572 new cases of the virus were also recorded, up from 14,844 the previous day, bringing the total number of infections to 1.888 million since the start of the virus outbreak in the country last February.
