For three days, the participants in the dialogue sessions organized by the National Union of Syrian Students in the universities discussed the mechanisms of developing the organization’s work, the challenges it faces, and ways to overcome weaknesses and reinforce the positives for it to reflect on the services it provides, based on a questionnaire distributed to 4000 students of the union’s leadership cadres And students of public and private universities.

The student dialogue sessions were organized under the title (current reality, performance, developmental vision), which dealt with several axes related to the organizational structure, the structure of the federation, the mechanisms of communication between the union and the student, the role of student leaders in university councils and committees, and student union activities (cultural, artistic, social, sports and volunteer) and spreading the culture of Dialogue and encourage students to express their views and encourage a culture of excellence and distinction

And sponsoring volunteer initiatives, spreading the culture of volunteering, attracting talents, encouraging them and developing them, and the Federation's role in supporting entrepreneurial projects.

Darine Suleiman, President of the National Union of Syrian Students emphasized the importance of the students ’role in evaluating the organization’s work and pointing to the positive and negative points for research in developing solutions for them based on the main objective of the current work strategy in supporting the culture of dialogue and initiatives that interest students and including them in the plans that will be worked on, noting the importance of These sessions are in support of the dialogue questionnaire that the organization directed to the leadership cadres segment and the student segment, which carried broad themes and addresses serving the feedback process.

Participants in the dialogue session held at the University of Damascus called for holding organizational training courses, introducing university laws to the newly elected administrative bodies, and introducing new students to the union at the level of colleges and institutes through introductory meetings, electing the administrative board in student units (colleges and institutes) directly from students, and activating monthly periodic meetings with Students of the academic year or department by the administrative committee.

The participants emphasized keeping pace with technological development and enhancing the use of social media to find out the problems and issues of students in each college or institute, and emphasizing on honoring outstanding students and holding meetings with the first graduates to explain their experience of excellence in order to enhance this situation, pointing to the need to pay attention to the advertising and media aspect in order to attract students. People with different talents, whether artistic, sports, etc., and seeking help from specialists to develop talents and expand the spread of the culture of dialogue among students.

In As-Suwayda, Wafa Al-Aflaq, head of the Students' Union branch in the governorate, drew attention to the importance of the organization’s work on the part of students throughout the homeland to assess the current reality, performance and development vision, and what are the proposals to improve its work and raise it to a level befitting Syrian students.

In the dialogue session held at Al-Baath University, the recommendations focused on a set of issues of interest to students and contribute to creating a state of harmony and communication with the union and its cadres, the most important of which was taking into account competence and distinction in choosing student leaders, expanding student representation in university councils, and the need to match the number of members of the administrative body with the number of college students and hold courses Continuous quality organizational leadership.

The participants also called for activating the role of accounting and monitoring while adhering to the dates of holding student conferences for the administrative bodies as they are a station for presenting students 'problems and issues to find solutions to them, activating the role of electronic media, creating an electronic newspaper for the Union concerned with students' issues and their scientific and cultural talents, activating the sports facilities of the Federation including stadiums and halls, and paying attention to university theater And setting a day for volunteer work at the university is always and continuous to instill a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.

At Tishreen University in Lattakia, the participants ’interventions focused on the need to increase the number of class committees in colleges and departments, activate their role and powers, develop communication mechanisms between them and students in all colleges and departments, either directly or through technological or social media, and determine the number of these committees according to the number of students in each college in addition to Strengthening the role of administrative bodies and selecting their members according to precise criteria so that the competent can reach them with the possibility of reducing the centralization between the Federation's bodies. They called for the necessity of attracting all segments of students at the university (talented and talented) and developing them and setting up a specific program for cultural activities at the beginning of each academic year and supporting young talents.

In Hama, the distinguished student Saba Al-Muhammad indicated that such sessions contribute to refining the student’s personality, developing youth capabilities, and proposing visions and ideas to activate the role of federal cadres and produce outputs that meet the desires of students in universities.

Participant student Hassan Darwish, one of the talents, expressed his optimism that these dialogue sessions would be held to direct constructive criticism for the development of the Union’s work, wishing to come up with proposals and recommendations that would serve the students in universities.

At the University of Aleppo, Yasser Gawish, head of the Student Union branch at the university, confirmed that the proposals that were put forward focused on reconsidering some structural structures at the federation level and the election mechanism that will be the way to develop the organization in the next phase in addition to proposals related to student activities such as sports, cultural and other activities in addition to To the necessity of holding free academic courses and focusing on the Federation's achievements, role and objectives, in addition to supporting student inventions and scientific innovations for students, as well as supporting pioneering projects and supporting outstanding students at the end of each academic year, including students and teaching staff.

In Al-Hasakah, the dialogue sessions that were held at the Students' Union branch in the governorate with the participation of 35 participants from the union’s staff and students of colleges and institutes of the Euphrates University branch concluded a set of outputs related to the development mechanism for the work of the Students ’Union to be a renewed and effective representative of students, including encouraging the culture of excellence and excellence by honoring students Outstanding students, honoring distinguished professors, and working to attract, encourage and develop talent, and sponsor volunteer initiatives.

The participating student, Julnar Aktham Al-Saleh, considered that the dialogue sessions are an opportunity to present proposals for students in colleges and institutes in particular, and focused on enhancing trust between the external and internal environment of the Union by increasing the support provided to students and motivating them to excel and succeed and pay attention to them through the intensification of sessions, workshops and periodic meetings with students to stand On their most important demands and needs, and solving the problems they encounter during their student life.
