As first reported in "Israel Today": The GSS ministerial team has determined that as of January, the tests will be carried out only on infected people who will not cooperate in the epidemiological investigation.
The GSS Ministerial Team, led by Intelligence Minister Eli Cohen (Likud), decided today (Wednesday) that on January 20, the sweeping GSS's location on the entire population will be stopped, and the tool will be kept as a safety net and will only be used on non-cooperating Corona victims. Epidemiological, as well as in cases where there will be a significant increase in morbidity.
The decision was based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Intelligence and the GSS position, and against the background of the trend of improvement in the system of epidemiological investigations.

According to data presented to the ministerial staff, about 93% of all patients today are located by the Home Front Command's human epidemiological investigations system, which has reduced the exclusive GSS assistance to only 7% of patients.
The GSS recommended during the hearing that the use of the tool be stated only for those who refuse to interrogate, and in cases where the daily morbidity is over 3,000 infected per day. The Ministry of Health stated that it is interested in continuing to use the tool until the end of March due to its contribution to locating the infected. The discussion determined that until the next discussion in the committee, which will take place in about three weeks, the definitions for those who refuse to interrogate will be determined and what is the daily amount of infected people above which the tool will be used.
During the discussion, it was presented that the pilot of the green passport application will begin in early January, and its sweeping use is expected to be at the end of January.
The populations that will receive the green passport will be vaccinated (7 days after receiving the second vaccine dose), recovering and people who present a negative corona test.
