If last September the princess won the competition for which she had trained for months and which consisted of a journey on a water bike between the islands of Corsica and the coasts of the Principality, a total of 180 kilometers away, now Charlène from Monaco has surprised everyone with their new style.

The princess has participated in the traditional Christmas tree ceremony and the flea market in the palace of Monaco that kick off these festivities in the European country and has worn a new haircut, more radical and

, that It consists of wearing part of the head shaved, with the rest of the hair short and bangs.

Alberto de Mónaco's wife is always used to wearing short hair and on many occasions she has surprised with more casual hairstyles that other royal women do not usually wear, who opt for medium or long hair.

Chárlene, who has also darkened the color and has gone from almost platinum blonde to a chestnut with blonde highlights, has accompanied her hair premiere with a matching style with an ethnic print coat, a turtleneck sweater and a sequined mask golden and black that has not prevented from hiding the smile of the princess who, accompanied by her husband, have been distributing toys and allowing herself to be photographed with several children.

The princely couple was accompanied in this act by their two twin children, Jacques and Gabriella, who have just turned six, and both wore a mask with the emblem of the Grimaldi family.

Prince Albert has also surprised with the choice of a most Christmas tie, decorated with various Santa Claus.

This 2020 has been a very special year for the couple.

Alberto de Monaco, 62, was the first member of a European royal house to contract covid 19. It happened in March, when the pandemic reached very high numbers of affected people.

The prince reported his illness and, in the process of recovery, gave an interview to discuss his condition.

"I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel," he said then and reported that his wife and two children had isolated themselves in Roc Angel, a few kilometers from Monte Carlo, whom he joined after his recovery.

Alberto's illness was a before and after in the marriage, a reason for the rapprochement.

And they put that on record in June, when romantic images were released showing the caramelized couple, posing with almost the whole family, having lunch in a restaurant with their children and then hugging.

Of course, always with their masks.

In July it was nine years since their wedding, a link that from the days before its celebration was under suspicion.

The French press even published that, hours before the ceremony, she tried to flee the Principality but was stopped at Nice airport.

Charlène was a sad girlfriend, and her honeymoon was also strange.

They spent it in South Africa, her country, but in different hotels, more than 15 kilometers away.

A palace spokesman had to go out to give explanations when discovered and said that it was a measure that tried to avoid traffic jams.

Alberto was then attending a meeting of the International Olympic Committee and she took the opportunity to be with her family and friends.

Other strange situations followed that particular beginning of the marriage.

The absence of the princess from important official events, photos of her with friends in the Caribbean without a trace of him, the obvious disagreements with her sister-in-law Carolina and her maneuvers not to coincide with her, and the birth of her twins Jacques and Gabriella, the December 10, 2014. During the three years it took for the children to arrive, rumors of a crisis increased and also when it was discovered that, after their birth, Charlène resided with the children in a village on the outskirts of Monte Carlo while the prince remained in the palace.

It seems that over the years, the princes have found their balance.
