Since Tuesday there have been three free FFP2 masks in pharmacies for everyone over the age of 60 and risk patients.
The rush in Munich was correspondingly large.
The pharmacies in Munich * issued free FFP2 masks on Tuesday.
The Corona * protective masks are intended for high-risk patients and pensioners.
There was frequent jostling and rabble.

Munich
- The mood is noticeably tense this morning.
Again and again, older people in particular push themselves into the
Schützen pharmacy
near the
main train station
.
Many people push themselves forward, sometimes they help with their elbows.
The reason: Everyone wants to
pick up
their free
FFP2 masks
.
Since Tuesday,
risk patients
and people over 60 years of age have
been able to
pick up
three free of charge from the
pharmacy
.
So the plan of Federal Health
Minister Jens Spahn
(CDU).
“There is a gold digger mood,” sighs Schützen pharmacy boss Barbara Stempel as early as midday.
"There is something for free and everyone wants it immediately."
Corona Munich: There is no fear of a shortage of FFP2 masks
The tone is also much sharper this morning.
When the
pharmacy opened
at 8:30 a.m., Ms. Stempel did not have enough
masks *
and the bulk order had not yet arrived.
The
masks
they were at first only to regular customers and
patients at risk
of having a prescription.
"We were downright bullied," says Stempel.
There is also a
large rush
in the
Benno pharmacy
in
Neuhaus
.
"In winter there is always more going on, the
masks
have increased it again," says employee Yasemin Friedhoff.
She has no
worries about a
delivery bottleneck
.
“If necessary, reorders will be made.
This is usually done within around two hours via wholesalers. "
Corona: There is no guarantee that people will not get FFP2 masks from several pharmacies
From the point of view of the
Bavarian Pharmacists' Association
, the start of the
mask
issue is still inconsistent. While some businesses were able to supply all collectors, several owners reported late Tuesday morning that the supplies had been used.
This is also due to the “very short lead time”, emphasized spokesman Thomas Metz when asked.
“We assume, however, that the situation will normalize across the board in the coming days and thus relax noticeably.” Ultimately, the offer is valid until January 6th.
There
is still enough time
until the
holidays
.

Not only concerns about running out of supplies can be heard on this first issue date, but also that some might “take advantage” of the offer.
Because even if the individual
pharmacies are
required to precisely document the dispensing, there has so far been no exchange between the individual branches.
Barbara Stempel from the
Schützen Apotheke
is also concerned about this
.
"I have everyone who
collects
the
masks
show
me
their ID and have them signed," emphasizes the
pharmacist
.
"But I can't check whether you haven't been to another
pharmacy
before."
Corona: Pensioners are happy that the offer is there
Christian Ziegler also wonders how the output is controlled.
The 69-year-old
pensioner
has just
picked up
his
three free masks
.
"In the end, everyone goes from one
pharmacy
to the next and makes a business out of it," fears the Munich resident.
“After all, such
masks are
not cheap.” Nevertheless, he is glad that the offer is available.
Just like Karl Müller (70).
"I think the idea is very good," says the
pensioner
.
After all, nobody knows how long the
corona pandemic *
will last.
In the
Schützen pharmacy
there is still a sigh of relief: the delivery is coming.
Barbara Stempel now has
around
20,000 FFP2 masks
in stock.
She is certain: “That's enough for January
too
.”

Long queues formed not only in front of the pharmacies at the beginning of the week.
Many wanted to buy Christmas presents before the lockdown.
