The Federal Court of Canada has issued a precedent-setting decision against the PLO's terrorist pay policy, the Bnei Brita Canada website recently reported.
Last week, the court upheld the decision of the country's Refugee Appeals Division, which revoked the refugee status of a Palestinian woman because of her work for the "Foundation for Palestinian Martyrs' Families" from 2006-1984.
The fund is at the center of a Palestinian program, in which terrorists and their families receive salaries and benefits.
The court confirmed that the Palestinian fund was established by the PLO to fulfill a criminal purpose of inciting terrorist acts against Israelis.
In addition, it was determined that the PLO had a criminal motive in this and therefore the Palestinian Khatam Khodayish is not entitled to refugee status. This is based on a clause in the Refugee Convention that rejects such status for those who committed an offense against peace, war or humanity.
It should be noted that according to the court, Hodayesh came to Canada in 2016 and applied for refugee status when her husband was PLO ambassador to Angola. It is estimated that this is a precedent-setting decision that may affect other legal decisions regarding payments to terrorists and their families in the Western world.
