A spokesperson for Pok Oi Hospital stated that the emergency department of the hospital received a female patient who was sent to the hospital by ambulance yesterday (16th) afternoon. The medical staff arranged for the patient to be rescued in a negative pressure ward according to the guidelines for handling suspected infection risks. Everyone wears appropriate personal protective equipment.
The patient passed away after being rescued, and medical staff took samples for the patient for laboratory tests, and the samples were initially positive for the 2019 coronavirus disease.
