In the middle of the Corona crisis, a new age is dawning for the Seehaus café-bar on the Tegernsee lake shore.
Since December 1st there is a new tenant.

The old lease with the long-standing operator Carolin Krauß ended as owner of the city of Tegernsee on November 30th and placed the restaurant in new hands: Christian Wörner and his wife Julia - known from their tapas bar Tranquilo in Rottach-Egern - will be operate the small gastronomy at the town hall in the future.
It should start in April at the latest - by then the lake house will be brought into shape.

, the restaurateur remains confident.
He and his wife are sticking to the plans to acquire a second mainstay with the Seehaus in Tegernsee.
As reported, the city had already given the two of them the contract at the end of 2019, the Rottach couple had prevailed against around 30 competitors.
The fact that there is no seamless transition and that the lake house will remain closed until spring is due, on the one hand, to the corona crisis.
On the other hand, the new tenants have asked for a postponement for family reasons.
“The city was very generous in accommodating us,” says Wörner, who, despite all the adversities, is looking forward to the start in the historic lake house.

The innkeeper, who was born in Madrid and has a penchant for Mediterranean cuisine, has already given a lot of thought to what he would like to offer in Tegernsee.
The guests, who particularly like to take a seat on the terrace directly above the lake, can
look forward
to a bistro menu and a selection of
coffee and cake.
Dishes such as lettuce with beef strips or tarte flambée
should be on the menu, and if you prefer something a little more sophisticated, Wörner will also serve you a monkfish or beef fillet.
"We want to have something on offer for every budget,"
explains the future operator, who is concerned that the locals also have a contact point in the Seehaus.
During the summer months, the pub - also known as the city's former prison - is said to be
open
seven days a week from
10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Until then, the
city of Tegernsee
is using the
time of the closure to
carry out
some
renovation
work, as
City Hall manager Hans Staudacher announced
.
As usual after a change of tenant, authorities such as the health department will also take a look at the catering rooms.
The city is also keen to reopen the Seehaus “as soon as possible” after the winter months, says Staudacher.
