Touria Rafjaoui was prosecuted for complicity in the sordid assassination of her husband Frédéric Guittard, with whom she was pending

The Maine-et-Loire Assize Court on Thursday sentenced a 55-year-old woman and a 46-year-old man to twenty years of criminal imprisonment on appeal for the assassination of Frédéric Guittard, a 51-year-old executive found shot dead at Le Mans in June 2015.

The Advocate General had requested 20 against Touria Rafjaoui, the ex-wife of Frédéric Guittard, sentence consistent with that pronounced at first instance, and 30 years against his co-accused, Jean-François Ornano.

The latter was sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment for complicity in the assassination by the Sarthe assizes in February 2019.

Me Jonathan Proust, lawyer of the brother and a sister of Frédéric Guittard, said he was "very relieved" of this verdict "which poses that Jean-François Ornano is indeed the murderer and that Touria Rafjaoui accompanied the criminal enterprise ".

Shadow areas over the course of the murder

On June 29, 2015, Frédéric Guittard, commercial director of the Maison Prunier rillette company, in Connerré (Sarthe), was found dead, killed by three bullets, in his apartment completely turned over.

According to the investigation, a dispute over the division of property and the amount of pensions to be paid to the children had broken out between him and his partner.

She would have called on two Corsican friends and sought to recover a file compromising on her sex life, that her husband, with whom she frequented swingers clubs, threatened to reveal.

But after 13 days of debates, the Assize Court of Sarthe had not managed to designate the shooter.

Originally, three defendants had been returned to the assizes.

But, one of the co-defendants, Magalie Pinardaud, had committed suicide ten days before the first trial at Le Mans.

Jean-François Ornano “accepts the sentence on behalf of the couple he formed with Magalie Pinardaud.

But he maintains that he is not the author of the murder ”, reacted his lawyer Me Pascal Rouiller.
