Today in Baghdad, Minister of Health Dr. Hassan Ghobash continued his talks with his Iraqi counterpart, Dr. Hassan Muhammad Al-Tamimi, to promote health cooperation between Syria and Iraq.
The two ministers held a session of talks in the building of the Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment, during which they discussed the importance of cooperation in combating the Corona pandemic and securing the necessary vaccines to limit its spread.
The two sides agreed to export Syrian medicines to Iraq, exchange experiences in the field of pharmaceutical industries, open Syrian board studies to Iraqi doctors, and exchange field visits to learn about the experiences of the two countries.
In statements to the SANA correspondent in Baghdad, the two ministers stressed the importance of cooperation in the health field in a way that would benefit the two brotherly peoples.
Minister Ghobash indicated that the main objectives of his visit to Iraq are related to the issue of manufacturing Syrian medicines, delivering them to Iraqi markets, and exchanging experiences in the pharmaceutical industry.
Ghobash added, "Coordination and exchange of experiences were present, but we aspire to increase it and raise the level in it .. We also discussed the issue of the Syrian Board Certificate, which was based in Syria, and we hope that it will return soon, as well as benefit from the experiences in brotherly Iraq in the field of pharmaceutical industries."
For his part, Minister Al-Tamimi stressed that Minister Ghobash's visit serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples in the field of drug exchange, exchange of experiences and joint training between Iraqi professors and Syrian professors.
Al-Tamimi pointed out the importance of increasing cooperation between the two sides in order to limit and control the spread of the Coronavirus.
The two ministers opened the emergency ward for isolation for those infected with Coronavirus in the Medical City and took a long tour of the services provided by the city and the Baghdad University Teaching Hospital in Baghdad.
Dr. Ghobash began yesterday an official visit to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, at the head of a health delegation that would last for three days.
