Dr. Thaer Zain Al-Din, Director General of the Syrian General Book Authority, was granted the degree of membership in the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences recently, which is considered one of the oldest scientific institutions in Russia and the world, to show that Syrian creativity is alive and inherited by children from grandparents.
Zainuddin stated in an interview with SANA that his acceptance as an original member of this academy within the Department of Civilization Courses Research and Scientific Predictions in the field of civilization came from the entirety of his work, including his huge book which was translated from Russian and issued in Damascus in 2010 and held the title Civilizations..the theory .. History ... The Future Dialogue was written by two Russian scholars who are members of this academy, Prof. Kosik Paris Nikolaevich and Jakovits Yuri Vladimirch.
The director of the authority pointed out that this book was an entry point for him to obtain membership, taking into account his literary career in the field of literature and translation in particular, especially since he translated many of the books of no less than 30 books on the Russian language, including a book related to the competence of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences. And who was behind his candidacy for membership of this academy.
The translator of Dostoyevsky's book, The Return of Man, explained that he was asked to prove by books and his scientific activity, as he indicated that his scientific career began in the eighties of the last century when he was sent to the former Soviet Union to obtain a doctorate in the field of hydraulic machines and hydro-pneumatic devices with a thesis titled raising the investment reliability of foundry metal machines through cleaning The effective periodicity of the working oil in the hydraulic system of this machine to enhance his scientific work during his stay in the Al-Assad Academy for Engineering Sciences, where he wrote two books in this regard.
A member of the Arab Writers Union in the Poetry Society pointed out that the Russian Academy is an innovative scientific institution for scientists in the field of natural and human sciences who work to develop science, education and culture and among its tasks is the development of science, education and culture as the most important factors that achieve national security and sustainable development in addition to participating in preparing programs to ensure security People and society, including environmental issues, mitigating the risk of regional and global conflicts, achieving media security, in addition to providing society with human thought and culture on the basis of modernizing educational and educational systems.
The author of the book, translated White Bells by his author Anna Akhmatova, considered that the membership of the Academy is a very important scientific issue and that he must present research and studies every period in both Arabic and Russian, in addition to a set of rights and duties such as attending scientific conferences of the Academy and other activities.
Zainuddin found that cooperation in the horizons of translation between the Arab and Russian civilizations serves the development of science and culture, pointing out that cooperation between the Academy and the Commission will exist within the framework of the good relations between Syria and the Russian Federation, as the Commission has set in its plan the translation of 3 important books related to the science of civilizations and the partnership between them.
Zainuddin expressed his happiness and pride in this membership, saying that any foreign researcher or writer from outside the Russian Federation obtaining this membership is a great appreciation and a true recognition of his effort, role and scientific and cultural standing.
