Rottach-Egern

- As the police reported, the rescue control center in Rosenheim was alerted on Thursday around 2 a.m. because of a fire in Rottach-Egern.

Two garbage cans, which were placed next to the garage of a residential building on Hofbauernstrasse, caught fire.

By the time the fire brigade arrived, the flames had already spread to a small part of the garage.

Resident (31) immediately reaches for the fire extinguisher

A 31-year-old resident of the house was the first to notice the fire and immediately began to fight the fire with a fire extinguisher.

According to the police, this may have prevented the flames from spreading to the rest of the garage and the adjacent apartment building.

The fire brigade moved in with around 30 emergency services to put out the fire.

There was property damage of around 15,000 euros, fortunately nobody was injured.

How the fire came about is still unclear.
