All lanes of the A96 were closed after an accident.
A truck is standing across the road and has yet to be recovered.

driver overlooked another car when changing lanes, he triggered a chain reaction that led to the complete closure of the
A96
.
The
accident
happened on Friday morning, but until now (as of 10:33 a.m.) the motorway is still mostly closed.
So the car and truck drivers need patience.
Accident on the A96: Parcel service pushes trucks away
It was about 8:35 as a package deliverer with his
pickup truck
on the
A96 at Penzing
wanted to change (district Landsberg am Lech) from the right to the left lane.
According to the
police
, he saw
a
BMW
too late and therefore tore the steering wheel.
He pulled back to the right and skid on the sudden maneuver.
He hit the guardrail on the right and was thrown back onto the street.
There the transporter crashed into the trailer of a 40-tonne truck.
The driver of the
truck
then also lost control of his vehicle and rushed into the middle guardrail in the left lane.
Result of the brief inattention: an estimated
50,000 euros in damage
, the road littered with vehicle parts and a few meters of destroyed guardrail.
Fortunately,
no one was injured
in the
accident
.

Because the
truck came to a
complete stop across all lanes and the parts of the collision were spread across all lanes, the
police
had to close
the entire
motorway
.
In the meantime, however,
a track
in the direction of
Lindau
has been released again.
In the direction of
Munich
, it should not be able to continue again until around 12 p.m.
The recovery and repair work is still dragging on.
Meanwhile, there are also longer
traffic jams
in both directions.
