The African Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced that the number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus on the African continent has reached 2449,754 cases to date.
The center stated in a statement carried by Reuters that the number of deaths from the disease reached 57,817 cases, while a total of 2073214 infected people recovered throughout the continent.
Statistics released by the center showed that the African countries most affected in terms of the number of positive cases include South Africa, Morocco, Egypt and Ethiopia.
South Africa currently has the largest number of cases, which reached 892 813 cases and the largest number of deaths, which reached 24011 cases.
