Covid-19: massive screening continues in the Ardennes

In the eight centers set up by Ardenne Métropole, 616 people were tested on Friday, bringing to 2,670 the number of people tested since the start of the operation on Monday, said the communication service of the Ardennes agglomeration.

To these figures are added 1,013 people tested since Monday, 514 on the single day of Friday, at private and public employers in the department, stakeholders in this massive screening operation organized with the Regional Health Agency (ARS) Grand Est .

In total since Monday, 3,685 people have therefore been tested, but these figures do not yet include the tests carried out on health professionals, nurses, doctors or pharmacists.

It's an operation that is gaining momentum.

Two phases are still planned, one before Christmas and the other before New Year's Day.

The epidemic continues to expand in the Ardennes.

On Friday, 368 confirmed cases of Covid-19 were recorded according to the latest situation update communicated by the ARS.

In total, the Ardennes had 11,162 confirmed cases on Friday, including ten patients in intensive care.

The Ardennes recorded 183 deaths in hospitals (+6) and 73 deaths (+2) in hospitals for dependent elderly people (Ehpad).
