The Indian Marxist Communist Party affirmed that it stood by Syria in its battle against terrorism and the imperialist forces supporting it.

The Secretary-General of the party Dorisamy Raja, during his meeting with Dr. Riyad Abbas, the Syrian ambassador to India, praised Syria’s firm stances and its adherence to its principles of rejecting Western dictates, respecting the sovereignty of states and not interfering in their internal affairs, noting that many countries of the world, including India, have not been spared from Western intervention attempts and imposing a policy Unipolar and using cross-border terrorism as a pressure card to submit to the plans of some countries.

During the meeting, Raja presented the political role of the Indian Marxist Communist Party in his country, which is embodied in preserving India's relations with the countries of the world and not being biased towards any party at the expense of the rest of the parties, referring to the close historical ties that bind India with the countries of the region, especially Syria.

For his part, Dr. Abbas reviewed the latest political developments in Syria and the region, stressing that the Syrian government will continue to confront the plots hatched against it by the imperialist Western powers led by the United States of America, which are implementing their agendas and plans to target the Syrian position that rejects the imposition and implementation of Western projects in the region.

Dr. Abbas also expressed his hope for strengthening cooperation between the governments of the two friendly countries and the various political currents active in them, and the exchange of visits of political and parliamentary delegations.
