Today, the Public Health Authority in France announced that the total deaths from Corona virus in the country have reached 60,299 cases.
And Agence France-Presse quoted the authority as saying that 15,674 new cases of the virus were recorded during the past 24 hours, compared to 18,254 cases in the previous census.
For her part, French epidemiologist Sophie Fu said during a press conference, "We are already witnessing an increase in the transmission of the virus and a return to the outbreak of the epidemic," expressing "her concern about the increase in the number of infections after the Christmas and New Year period despite the imposition of a curfew."
