The Johanniter from the local association Ottobrunn-Riemerling support the district of Munich by running one of three vaccination centers.
In the past few days, full-time and volunteer workers have equipped an office building at Kolpingring 16 in Oberhaching for this purpose, and the vaccination center has been operational since the middle of the week.
Oberhaching
- The time until the vaccine is available is used by Johanniter to complete the equipment and to train helpers on procedures, handling the vaccine and data processing.
Information on the Bavaria-wide uniform software and registration is currently not available (we reported).
Markus Bauer, Head of Civil Protection and Medical Services at Johanniter Ottobrunn-Riemerling, says: “We are delighted to be making our contribution to fighting pandemics.
We will be able to vaccinate up to 350 people a day.

The Johanniter vaccination center in Oberhaching will be responsible for people from the communities of Oberhaching, Unterhaching, Taufkirchen, Brunnthal, Sauerlach, Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn, Aying, Grünwald, Straßlach-Dingharting, Pullach, Baierbrunn and Schäftlarn.
In addition, the Johanniter Ottobrunn-Riemerling are also active with a corona test center in Neuried.
Incidentally, Johanniter are currently involved in setting up vaccination centers at around 200 locations across Germany.
The vaccination center in Haar is run by the Maltese, the third in Unterschleißheim by the Red Cross
Helpers wanted
For the operation of the vaccination center, more permanent or voluntary support staff is being sought - in particular emergency services such as emergency or paramedics, medical specialists such as MTA, doctors, but also administrative and cleaning staff.
