The BRK is currently building a multi-generation campus on Starnberger Strasse in Gauting.

The 22 apartments of the “assisted living” should be ready for occupancy in May.

A site visit.

Gauting - A small village is currently being built on the so-called Naßl meadow right next to the Gautinger Lidl market.

When the BRK's multi-generation campus is ready by July at the latest, “360 people will live here,” explains BRK district manager Jan Lang on a tour of the construction site.

In this second construction phase, 84 fully inpatient care places are planned in house communities, day care, café / restaurant, market place and BRK social station.

Around 25 million euros will flow into the project.

The work is still in full swing.

The owner of the second section of the multi-generation campus is the BG Immobiliengruppe Eichenau, says Lang.

During the on-site visit, he refers to the attractively designed houses that are grouped around the inner courtyard.

The future marketplace with a café / restaurant, outdoor terrace and weekly market is being built right across from the BRK daycare center "Henry & Henriette", which was built for 5.1 million euros, explains Lang.

Parents who have just given their offspring to the crèche could also meet there.

A kind of piazza, around which other houses with balconies are grouped, leads to the rear house on the hillside below the Krapfberg.

The front of the light facade is painted in warm terracotta red.

Assisted living with 22 barrier-free apartments is being built in this complex.

In the spacious entrance area with large window fronts, there will be a wing for small cultural events, says Lang.

A library will also be set up there.

There is an event hall for larger celebrations on the first floor.

From the balcony you can see the future piazza with the stream.

Architect Otto Hartmann has already commissioned a sculpture from the artist “Marsilius”, says Jan Lang.

The 22 assisted living rental apartments are between 44 and 97 square meters in size, "and not exactly cheap," admits Lang.

The net rental price is 23 euros per square meter.

Added to this are the costs for the housekeeper, "who is on site 30 hours a day", for emergency calls and innovative digital auxiliary instruments.

But with up to 24 euros per square meter, "here in Gauting we are cheaper than others," emphasizes Marcus Wicke, senior citizen and care division manager at BRK Starnberg.

Tenants already paid 30 euros per square meter for assisted living in the Andechser Hof Herrsching des BRK.

With a further 84 fully inpatient places in six family-like house communities in the nursing home complex as well as day care for 20 guests, there are smooth transitions for future residents - depending on the care and support needs.

With outpatient nursing and housekeeping services, a meeting center and the “Gauting helps” neighborhood help, this will be a “lighthouse project”, Lang is convinced.

A stroke of luck is Angelika Ziegler, the housekeeper for assisted living, which is expected to start on May 8th.

Ziegler can be reached at Angelika.Ziegler@brk-starnberg.de.
