- The Feldkirchen municipal council gave a fundamental yes to the purchase of CO2 sensors for schools and daycare centers.
Whether the municipality is also installing air filters is also checked if the windows cannot be opened.
The decisive question was not how much these devices cost, but rather “what is it good for your health,” said Mayor Andreas Janson (UWV).
That is why the administration asked the neighboring communities what experiences they had and also called in a specialist office.
"It is important to know that neither CO2 traffic lights nor the ventilation devices release you from regular ventilation and also not from the mask requirement," Janson emphasized.
The seniors in particular provide support by providing valid data as to when the CO2 level in a room increases.
This value is important because the higher the proportion of aerosols, the more opportunities the Covid-19 viruses have to attach themselves.

Ventilation devices make sense in rooms where windows cannot be opened, for example in the basement.
Therefore, the municipal council is now checking in which institution this is the case.
This is done promptly and in consultation with the heads of the school and day-care facilities in order to be able to take advantage of the possible subsidies from the Free State.
