A man was killed and another wounded on Saturday, December 19 during a shooting in a popular district in the south of Bastia by an individual who then became a prisoner, said the Bastia prosecutor.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the victim would be the manager of a bar.
The injured man, who is his brother, was hit in the thigh by a projectile.
He made his own way to the hospital and his life is not in danger.
The alleged perpetrator of the shots contacted the police after the fact and became a prisoner, said prosecutor Arnaud Viornery, without giving more details on his motive.
The facts took place in the popular district of Lupino where dominate old buildings and HLM, at the southern exit of Bastia.
