Nine people were killed and six others were wounded in a terrorist bombing targeting an Afghan lawmaker in the capital, Kabul.
The Afghan TV channel quoted security sources as saying that a car bomb exploded in Spin Kalai Square in the center of the capital targeting the car of Afghan MP Haji Khan Muhammad Wardak, killing at least nine people and wounding six others, including Wardak.
The Afghan Ministry of Interior revealed recently that the Taliban militants carried out 35 suicide attacks and detonated 507 explosive devices during the past three months, causing the killing of more than 480 civilians and wounding hundreds.
