The musician was
92 years
old before he died with his loved ones.
Since the 1950s he has been one of the industry giants in Germany.

17 years ago he revealed that he had already had his own made - art forged and from the Bregenz Forest.
In 2008,
Fischer's
wife
Hildegard
(then 89 years old) also died in December - namely on Boxing Day.
He had been married to her since 1949.
The famous
choirmaster
was quoted as saying: “I could be with her until she fell asleep.” So now, after twelve years, we will meet again in a better place.

died last Friday with
his family in Stuttgart.

His death was probably not preceded by a serious illness.
He “fell asleep peacefully”, says his manager Esther Müller.
“It was just age.
He was buried today, ”she added on Wednesday.
The musician had
become famous
in Germany mainly because of his
Fischer choirs
.
The singing groups were sometimes even stronger than 1000 members.
But he also celebrated huge successes with records and in television programs.
Particularly memorable: At the
1974 World Cup
, a performance with one of his choirs was broadcast around the world from Munich.
His death is another great loss in
2020

Gotthilf Fischer has died: the life, work and awards of the famous composer
Fischer was
born
in
1928
in Plochingen, Baden-Württemberg.
He discovered his
love for music
in his childhood
and enjoyed
making
music a
lot in his free time.
However, he never completed a corresponding training.
This has not done any harm to its great success.
After starting his career as a
choir director
,
things
seemed to be steadily improving for the composer.
After the memorable performance in Munich in 1974, he went on
world tours
with his choirs, including the Italian capital
Rome
and the
USA
.
The able Swabian could always make a living from his music.
Together with his choirs, he recorded over 50 recordings, several of which were honored with a
gold record
.

Fischer leaves behind children and grandchildren.
His wife
Hilde
died in 2008 after a stroke.
Fischer once said of his own death: "The time will come when I will
be allowed to conduct

angels in heaven
." The angels have now received a new choirmaster.
