The Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Al-Hasakah Governorate has started distributing wheat seed and barley donation to farmers in various regions of the governorate's countryside.
The head of the organization’s branch, Ali Mansour, said in a statement to SANA’s correspondent today that the number of farmers targeted by the grant is 5,000 farmers, distributed in the regions of Qamishli, Tal Barak, Al-Shaddadi, Markada and the countryside of Hasakah.
He pointed out that each farmer will be allocated 200 kg of wheat or barley to be used as seed in the cultivation of lands, explaining that the grant is distributed in cooperation with the Hasaka Agriculture Directorate and with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
