The General Organization for Drinking Water in Hama Governorate implemented its plan for 2020 with a completion rate of 100 percent, which included replacing, renewing and rehabilitating lines, networks and tanks in various regions of the province, with a total value of 2.1 billion Syrian pounds.

Dr. Mutei Abashi, Director of the Public Corporation for Drinking Water in Hama, said in a statement to SANA’s correspondent today that one of the most prominent projects implemented this year and whose work has reached its final stages in preparation for investing and putting them into service soon is the Zour Abu Zaid water project, which will be operational at the beginning of the new year and will form an important side of the water project Al-Loubida to quench the cities of Tire and Taybeh Al-Imam in the northern Hama countryside and end the water crisis in them, especially in the summer season, with the increasing number of returning residents after restoring security and stability to them and purifying them from terrorism at the hands of the brave Syrian Arab Army.

Abchi added that among the projects also completed in 2020 are drilling wells in Ain Shams, Rusafa, Awj, Baysin, Hayalin, Al Taouna, Deir Shamil, implementation of a high reservoir, pumping and liquidation lines in Qamhana, and a project to replace lines and networks in Tal Afar and Al-Hawaik, drawing the Jurn and its age, Al-Abr, Al-Khandaq, Al-Harrah, Buraq, Talol Al-Ghar, Al-Sayah and Al-Tatin in Jungle area.

As for the projects to rehabilitate water networks, lines and wells in the liberated areas in the northern Hama countryside between Abshi, the Hama Water Corporation's workshops carried out repair and maintenance works for 3 wells in Morek sub-district with maintenance and rehabilitation of the entire network therein and rehabilitating the water network of Ma'an and Al-Zoghba in preparation for pumping water into its lines. soon.

Regarding the rehabilitation work carried out by the foundation in the southern countryside of Hama, Dr. Abashi mentioned that the development of wells and water networks in most towns and villages in the southern Hama countryside is good and with high technical readiness, indicating in this regard that the Foundation has completed the work of replacing the water network in the village of Buraq at a cost exceeding 300 million Syrian pounds with rehabilitation Wells and network in the town of Aqrab.

For her part, the director of the economic units at the Public Corporation for Drinking Water in Hama, Eng. Sawsan Orabi, stated that the Masyaf Reservoir project, which has a capacity of 1000 cubic meters, and its annexes of rooms, pumping and liquefaction lines, is in its final stages and is scheduled to be put into service in early 2021 as a basic reserve to supply Masyaf with drinking water and put an end to Because of the lack of water in it during the months of eruption "July, August and September."

Orabi announced the Foundation's intention to launch and implement several projects during the new year throughout the governorate, the most important of which are replacing and renewing main and subsidiary water lines with a total length of 90 kilometers, rehabilitating pumping stations, desalination and filtering, and replacing main and sub-networks in the suburb of Abi Al-Feda city of Hama, the villages of Al-Shuhayb and Al-Hawaq, drawing Al-Sous, Al-Bireh and Al-Naqir. And Masyaf, Jorin, Deir Hawit Palace and Khirbet al-Qasr, with the rehabilitation of several large reservoirs in the city of Hama and its countryside, the refinement of springs and the construction of complexes in the area of ​​the water units of al-Suqaylabiyah, Masyaf and Shatha, in addition to the resumption of work on the second draft project for the city of Hama and Salamiyah and 65 communities in the governorates of Hama and Homs in its third phase extending from Ghantou to Al-Rastan.

It is noteworthy that the value of the investment plan for the projects of the General Organization for Drinking Water in Hama during the next year amounts to 2.830 billion Syrian pounds.
