President-elect Joe Biden was vaccinated tonight (Monday) against the Corona virus live, telling the American public: "There is nothing to worry about."
Biden, who will take office on Jan. 20, called on all citizens to get vaccinated as soon as they were allowed, and said the Trump administration deserves credit for the vaccines for the virus.
Biden, 78, is in a virus-risk group that claimed the lives of some 315,000 Americans and made a name for itself in the United States economy.
He received the first of two injections that includes Pfizer's vaccine at a Delaware hospital.
The vaccine, approved this month for use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), is expected to help curb the epidemic.
More than 17.5 million people have been infected with the virus in the United States, more than in any other country in the world by a considerable margin.
